After a 6 months in the US Deblois came back with copies of her new CD Lavienth (sp?), produced by Bill MacPherson and recorded in LA. The songs are all originals and all are great. Bill played bass and guitar, Rogerio (the CD engineer) played percussion and did the back up vocals. Deblois' voice is a cross between Melissa Ethridge and Jack Johnson. On the way there a tire came off the truck and by the time they found the lug nuts and got the tire back on the wind had come up and was blowing around 20 mph. So the first trip was bagged but they got the truck back and all is well. We're going to be looking at those lug nuts very close tomarrow. Steve Coan played the guitar and fiddle and I played the guitar and mandolin. We did mostly traditional bluegrass songs but had a couple of blues things thrown in there. A Tico used my Martin D1 guitar and played for about 30 minutes and had a blast. He was in awe of my guitar. It plays sweet with that typical Martin sound. Bill MacPherson, of Native Vibe, will be leading the charge. Our band will be playing at least 3 nights a week in the area. The rivers locally were actually too high to take beginners. We had 11" of rain IN ONE NIGHT!! We're goin to be leading 4X4 ATV trips up into the mountains for what should be a super trip. We'll park and walk down a hill to a shaded waterfall area for a light picnic lunch and a cool swim in the lagoon. I was busy guiding waterfall treks and Rio Nosara kayak trips. The weather is beautiful in the morning and gets cloudy during the afternoon with some rain. So we do all our trips in the AM.
