Acoustic Tuesday

We had music at the Iguana last night. Steve Coan played the guitar and fiddle and I played the guitar and mandolin. We did mostly traditional bluegrass songs but had a couple of blues things thrown in there. A Tico used my Martin D1 guitar and played for about 30 minutes and had a blast. He was in awe of my guitar. It plays sweet with that typical Martin sound. Steve was playing my fiddle and is actually becoming very good at it. He also plays some great blues as well. Bill MacPherson gets in town Nov 17 and starts at Harbor Reef for his first gig. He is using Bongo Bob and his percussionist and he's a killer drummer. I dream about being that good someday. We'll be playing at the local places for the next three or four months so come down, bring you instrument and let's make some music. I'm trying to play more mandolin so we can introduce different sounds to our acoustic string sound. Bill will be renting my extra bedroom for this season so we'll be playing some great stuff at my house when we arn't gigging. Hope to see you down here soon.
