Music This Season

We'll be having some great music this year. Bill MacPherson, of Native Vibe, will be leading the charge. Our band will be playing at least 3 nights a week in the area. Bill plays lead guitar and base, I play guitar, mandolin, congas and do some vocals. Long Board John plays harmonica, guitar, mandolin and sings. We're looking for a female vocalist as well but we haven't had any luck yet. DeBloise Milledge will be doing guest appearances. She just finished her latest CD entitled Sing Softly. Bill MacPherson produced and engineered it and the copy I heard sounded great. We have a lot of professional musicians stop in and play. Joe Jewell of Featherstone (bluegrass), Bill MacPherson of Native Vibe (world jazz), Willy of Willy & Lobo (Jazz), John and Ruthie of The Mammals (Old Time/Bluegrass), Bone Pony (acoustic rock) and others. The Iguana is the spot for good live music in our area. Check in often and I'll keep everyone up to date on the music scene. MO' later

  • The Gilded Iguana is a totally cool small hotel on Guiones Beach in Nosara, Jungle Joe's base camp for expeditions and live music. The main building is historic, the oldest structure in Nosara, with timber shipped in by boat before there was a road connecting Nosara with the outside world. Nowadays, of course, the Iguana has super modern rooms with A/C, a big new swimming pool, excellent restaurant, etc. Affordable and friendly, best hotel on the beach.
